Leis: flowers,nuts,and shell
During the early Polynesian voyager the Hawaiian Island, lei was introudced to our Islander. During that time lei were constructed of flowers,leaves, shells,nuts, and even bone. In the late 1800's , due to growth of tourism lei quickly became the symbol of Hawaii. Lei was use as a gift to our visiting /departing visitors to the Hawaiian islands. The ancient tradition still continue on today. Leis are worn for party, birthday, graduation, and espically during wedding. Show your spirit of Aloha with your family and friends.
